For those who have never had a massage here is what you can expect. When you come into Absolute Muscular Care you will be greeted with smile and hopefully you will feel right at home. Kayla will give you a personal history form to fill out so that she can have your information and so she can better understand your pain and discomfort. She will ask you questions about your medical history and medicines that you may or may not be taking. After careful study on your problems at hand, she will discuss treatment with you and explain what she plans to accomplish with the session. Then, she will show you to the massage room were there is a place for your belongings, a massage table and an information board. She will then ask you to disrobe to your level of comfort. After giving you instruction on whether to begin face down or face up, Kayla will leave the room so you can get ready in privacy. The table is dressed with a bottom sheet, top sheet and a blanket. Get on the table in between the bottom sheet and top sheet. If you require work on your lower back and legs most of the time it is the therapist preference to have the lower extremities accessible however the client will be underneath the sheet so the will always be a professional barrier. Basically, the client should feel safe and comfortable at all times. Please let Kayla know if the pressure used is too deep, or you feel uncomfortable at any time. After the massage is completed Kayla will again leave the room so that you may dress. Please exit to the waiting room for discussion on the session, making another appointment, and payment.
